The Autism Association (Singapore) (AAS), www.autismlinks.org.sg, is one of the non-profit organizations in Singapore, dedicated to support individuals with autism and help them lead meaningful lives in society. AAS runs two Early Intervention Centres for children with autism, and a Day Activity Centre for adults with autism.

In addition, Eden School, www.edenschool.edu.sg, started by AAS, offers a quality education for students with autism who require more time in building foundational skills and/or are assessed to be more suitable for a vocational route. It now offers a unique blend of Functional Academics, Pre-Vocational and other important Life Skills.
Due to our rapid expansion to serve more clients and students, we invite people who have proven commitment and competence to join us in transforming the lives entrusted to us.

SPED TEACHER

Responsibilities:
  • Developing a differentiated curriculum combining functional academics, life skills and vocational skills
  • Delivering lessons using a combination of methodology that is pupil-focused, fun and autism-friendly
  • Creating a structured environment for meaningful learning
  • Implementing and monitoring progress of students’ Individual Education Plan goals
  • Collaborating effectively with parents to generalize skills learnt in school

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 GCE ‘O’ Levels (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics and
  • 2 ‘A’ /H2 Level passes & 2 ‘AO’ /H1 Level passes (including General Paper or Knowledge Inquiry) / A good overall
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma score or
  • A Diploma or Degree from a recognized local educational institution; or Diploma in Autism, Education or Special
  • Education
  • Relevant experience in teaching special needs students will be an advantage
  • This position is open to Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents only
